The Accutron ® MR3 is a contrast injector that, in addition to the two injection pistons for contrast and saline, has a third piston specifically for the infusion of fluids during imaging. The Accutron ® MR3 dual pistons are designed for the precise injection of contrast and saline in clinical MRI imaging including pediatrics, angiography, neuro- and mammography, and other routine MRI exams. The dedicated infusion pump, on the other hand, is designed for the slow delivery of additional medications required during specific MRI exams. These include cardiac-specific medications for cardiac stress testing or drugs for pain control and light sedation to assist the patient during the MRI scan.
